Jr.K-6 Intramurals
Our goal at New Covenant Academy for elementary intramural sports is to offer an opportunity for students in Jr. Kindergarten through six grades to learn and improve in fundamental skills and to help build confidence. We accomplish this by having camps and leagues made up of our own students. We feel that by having the students compete with and against each other throughout the school year gives them a greater opportunity for success.
Boys may participate in intramural soccer and basketball.
Girls may participate in basketball. There will also be some opportunities for one-day special event clinics for cheerleading and volleyball; event dates to be announced.
All Elementary Intramural sports are coached by the following individuals:
Basketball-Eric Crain, NCA Athletic Director and Lindsey Letsinger, Coach
Volleyball-Lindsey Letsinger, NCA Physical Ed. Teacher
Cheerleading- Adrienne Pike, NCA Alum and Varsity Cheer Coach
Boy's and Girl's Basketball Intramural
This program is conducted for approximately one month from October to November. Practices take place each day after school with games on Saturdays during the season. Single one-day camps to develop skills and drills will be scheduled at various times throughout the school year as well as in the summer. A one-week basketball camp is held each summer.
Boy's and Girl's Soccer Intramural
This program is conducted for approximately one month in the spring. Practices take place each day after school with games on Saturdays during the season. Single one-day camps will be scheduled at various times throughout the school year as well as in the summer. A one-week soccer camp is also held.
Location of Games
All games and practices take place on the NCA campus. Soccer fields are located on the East side of the NCA campus. Basketball, and volleyball are played in our gymnasium.
