NEW COVENANT ACADEMY DUAL CREDIT ENGLISH STUDENTS HONORED BY MSU FOR EXEMPLOARY WORK

  Springfield, MO:           For their exemplary display of community outreach in their Public Affairs Project, New Covenant Academy Dual Credit ENG 210 class, has been invited to pilot a program allowing students to earn 1 junior credit (ENG 300) through Missouri State University.  Every year the students in this class must do a Public Affairs project that displays an outreach Community Project in Springfield. New Covenant Academy's students have been recognized as going the extra mile in their project by reaching out in their local communities and making their project a workable reality. MSU is offering the students in this class credit for their community outreach. They are also inviting the students to present their projects on the MSU campus to various department chairs and the dual credit board. New Covenant Academy is reflecting the love of Christ throughout the community of Springfield and on the MSU campus.

NEW COVENANT ACADEMY FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA (FBLA) CHAPTER EARN A PLACE TO COMPETE AT NATIONALS DURING THE  STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE.

 Springfield, MO:         Members of  New Covenant Academy’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2013 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference held on April 21- 23 in Columbia, MO.  FBLA is the largest and oldest business student organization in the United States; Missouri makes up nearly 3,000 members and advisers who represent 452 chapters throughout the state.  Student members met to participate in leadership and career workshops, as well as compete in the state leadership awards program.   For the first time in NCA’s FBLA history, three state champions have been propelled to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA this coming June.   Here are our top winners!

25 schools competed at the Ashgrove Track Meet.  Congratulations to:  Claire Workman (Summit) placed first in 7th Girls 1600m and the 800m and in the 8th Girls 1600m Katie McCune placed 3^rd and Claire McCune place 5^th.  These were excellent results from such a large meet!
