The high school music department at NCA has been recognized statewide, regionally, and nationally for its vocal and instrumental ensembles. High school students at NCA are given numerous opportunities to participate in various music activities including vocal and instrumental solos, small ensembles, and large ensembles.
Over 65% of our high school student body is involved in our instrumental or vocal programs, or both. Small and Large ensembles at NCA have received superior ratings consistently at both the district and state levels through MSHSAA Music Festivals over the past eight years. Individual students have been selected to both District and State level honors choirs and bands as well.
Concert Band and Choir Choir students will be traveling to Chicago, "It's Our Kind of Town!" in April, 2012 to compete in the Festivals of Music competition.
