Dual College Credit |

New Covenant Academy offers 10 dual credit college courses in partnership with Missouri State University´s Extended Campus Program, located in Springfield, Missouri. Courses are offered on the NCA campus, taught by NCA instructors (whose credentials must be approved by MSU) and students receive both college and high school credit for course completion. Curriculum is dictated by Missouri State University and NCA Administrators review it for compatibility with the NCA mission statement. Tuition for these courses are paid directly to Missouri State University, which is over and above the regular tuition paid to New Covenant Academy. Students must meet academic requirements set forth by NCA and MSU in order to qualify to enroll in any dual credit courses offered. Furthermore, students participating in this program become dually enrolled at Missouri State University; as such they are issued MSU Student ID's, may take advantage of the benefits offered to their college students such as the use of their library, weight rooms and attendance of athletic events. Students interested in taking dual credit courses should meet with the Guidance Counselor to discuss prerequisites.
DUAL CREDIT COURSES OFFERED ARE:

MTH 135, 3 Credits, College Algebra- Juniors and Seniors may take this course with a minimum of 22 in math on the ACT.

MTH 261, 5 Credits, Analytic Geometry and Calculus I -Pre-requisite completion of Advanced Math and students must have a 27 in math on the ACT prior to taking Calculus.

BMS 110, 4 Credits, Concepts in Biomedical Science (Anatomy and Physiology) - minimum requirement of a 21 composite score on the ACT.

ENG 110, 3 Credits, Writing I- Requirement minimum of 19 in English on the ACT.

ENG 210, 3 Credits, Writing II-Pre-requisite completion of ENG. 110.

ENG 200, 3 Credits, Intro to Literature - minimum requirement of a 21 composite score on the ACT.

SPN 101, 3 Credits, Elementary Spanish I - minimum requirement of a 21 composite score on the ACT.
