MR. MATT SEARSON, LEAD ADMINISTRATOR AND PRINCIPAL GRADES 5-12

Mr. Searson began his first three years of college at  College of the Ozarks, then received his B.S. in Education from Missouri State University. He earned his Masters in Educational Administration and Specialist Degree in the Superintendency from Southwest Baptist University. He worked in the Lebanon School district for fourteen years teaching high school history for eight years and serving as Junior High Assistant principal (two years) and Junior High Principal (four years).  Mr. Searson came to New Covenant in 2009 as the secondary principal.  Mr. Searson is married and has two children attending NCA.

When asked about his personal philosophy of education he replied, "There is a quote that says, 'no significant learning takes place without a significant relationship.' After fourteen years in education I see how powerfully relationships can impact the learning of a child. Those relationships form a foundation on which learning can occur. I believe that it is not only the relationship between student and teacher, but every relationship that family will have with the school. When those relationships are modeled after the relationship we have with Christ we have created a wonderful learning environment for our students."
