LIGHT OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY OUTREACH
On December 2nd, 2011 we will bus the residents of the Missouri Hotel (family homeless shelter) to our school for our 4th annual Light of the World Community Outreach Program. This is a Christmas celebration specifically for the guests from the Missouri Hotel. We will provide dinner, drinks, dessert and a fun filled evening for all who choose to participate. There will be face painting, nail painting, inflatable games, Ted E Bear Factory will be here for the kids to stuff bears, Mad Science will provide their hovercraft, Santa will be on site, a photographer will be here to take family photos, etc. and MOST important of all we will be telling the Christmas story and offering them an opportunity to pray. This is an amazing outreach program. We will be taking gift donations for the children at the Missouri Hotel. You may provide a monetary donation by writing a check to NCA (be sure to include Light of the World in the memo section of your check) or you can choose a child by age/gender to purchase a gift for. We ask that if you select a child or multiple children that you also purchase socks, gloves and a hat for each child. These are items they are in need of throughout the winter months.
For donations, please contact Wendi Farquhar at 417-987-7271 or Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Gifts will be collected here at the school from now until Monday, November 28th. If you are interested in volunteering for the night of the event or to collect items donated by the community please contact Robin Byler at 417-343-0225 or email@example.com.
Items we will be collecting donations for:
· Veggie Tales Bibles – for the younger children
· Bread and Salad
· Ted E Bear Factory – we pay for each stuffed bear the night of the event
· Gas to fuel the buses for transportation
· Candy for gift bags
· Handled bags for toiletry gifts for the children
· Gift baskets
What a blessing it is to be a blessing to someone else!

BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM VS. GREENWOOD LAB SCHOOL
ANNOUNCED BY COACH MIKE FOLEY
The NCA boys basketball team opened their season last night, November 29, 2011 at Greenwood with a 72-70 win. Chace Smartt (26 points, 7 rebounds), Jarred Schrader (24 points, 3 assists) and Austin Cassity (19 points, 3 blocks) led the way to our victory. Greenwood is always tough and the first game is where we evaluate our players strengths and weaknesses. We have several new players this year who have never participated in a high school basketball game and last nights game really opened their eyes to the great competition we will be facing all season.
Although there were some rough patches last night, I think they all played pretty well. We have a lot of work to do before our next game against Spokane, but I think we'll be ready.
