NCA is a not-for-profit, Christian college preparatory school, located in Springfield, MO serving approximately 530 students in grades Jr. Kindergarten through 12th since 1979.

Why NCA?

  • Academics:  Strong college preparatory program that integrates faith and learning.  
  • College credit:  Dual college credit opportunities for high school students through Missouri State University and Drury University.

  • Technology: Supporting teacher objectives and student learning, with WiFi, Inspire Technology Initiative which is a BYOD program, computer lab, 7 mobile Chromebook carts, and tablets.  Students use emerging technologies in problem-based, interactive, engaged learning and assessment. 
  • Fun while learning:  Extracurricular activities include field trips, retreats, clubs, academic competitions, international or cross-cultural mission trips, student council, and Christian service projects.
  • Results:  NCA's test results on national achievement and ACT college entrance tests far exceed the national average.
  • School accountability:  New Covenant Academy is accredited by AdvancED and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.
  • Academic and athletic competition with both public and private schools:  NCA is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). "The MSHSAA promotes the value of participation, sportsmanship, team play, and personal excellence to develop citizens who make positive contributions to their community and support the democratic principles of our state and nation".
  • Affordable Tuition:  Nationally, private education is quite expensive, often with a price tag equal to a college tuition.  At NCA, tuition is almost half of the national average for 7-12th-grade and well below the national average for Jr.K-6th-grade.  A tuition assistance program is also offered to qualifying families.
  • Community:  Year after year, when NCA's families are asked,  "What is your favorite thing about NCA?"; their top answers are:  "the people", "I love my teacher", "I feel like I belong", "my friends", "the support I receive being a part of an extended Christian community of believers with the same goals and values as my own family."

Announcements

  • Men's Prayer Breakfast Oct. 1st 8:30-10
    There will be a Men's Prayer Breakfast here at NCA on Sat., Oct. 1st at 8:30am. Phil Wickmar will be the speaker, followed by a free breakfast and prayer time. All dads, sons, and grandfathers are welcome!
  • Early Dismissal Oct. 7th
    Friday, Oct, 7th will be an early dismissal day. Elementary will dismiss at 11:30 and Secondary at 11:45. Teachers will be participating in Professional Development in the afternoon that day. There will be NO LUNCH or EXTENDED CARE.
  • End of 1st Quarter Oct. 11th
    The end of the 1st quarter is Tuesday, Oct. 11th. Report cards will be emailed on Wednesday.
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences Oct. 13th and 14th
    Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13th from 5-8pm and Friday, Oct. 14 from 8am-12pm. Elementary parents will sign up for a conference time with their child's teacher. Intermediate and Middle School teachers will be contacting parents to schedule needed conferences. High School parents may come to the NCA gym between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 to meet with whichever teachers they wish to speak with.
  • NO SCHOOL Oct. 14-17
    No School Friday, Oct. 14th and Monday, Oct. 17.
  • Picture Retakes Oct. 25
    We will be taking school picture retakes on Tuesday, Oct. 25th. Order forms will be in the office for anyone who was not able to get their pictures taken on the first date. If you wish to have your child's pictures retaken, you must return the entire package of pictures you received.
  • Annual Fund Banquet Thursday, Oct. 27th

    Raising the Rafters with Laughter.

    NCA's Annual Fund Banquet will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27th. Christian comedian Jon Crist will be our speaker for the evening. Third through sixth grade students will be singing as well as a High School Ensemble. Casual dress is encouraged. To register for tickets, go to events.newcovenant.net.
