Please note:  Generally speaking, the hiring cycle for new faculty positions typically begins in the spring prior to the following school year.

 

FACULTY CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:  

For core subjects, all faculty members must hold a certification to teach in the State of Missouri or in another state within the U.S., (or meet the requirements for a provisional certification).  Additionally, they must have a four year undergraduate degree.

 

FACULTY/ADMINISTRATION BENEFITS: 

The following benefits are offered to full-time faculty at New Covenant Academy:  50% discount in tuition for your own child to attend NCA (pending they meet admissions requirments); all fees must be paid by the employee.  Medical benefits are offered the employee with a majority of the premium paid for by New Covenant Academy.  Employees may add dependants at their own expense.  Optional cafeteria plans are offered at the employee expense.  A reducation in school lunch price is offered to the employee for their own meal service.  Free admission to all home sport games.  Part-time faculty: may receive a pro-rated discount in tuition for their own child to attend NCA.

POSITION   JOB SUMMARY  
 
Full-time Librarian/Media Specialist   New Covenant Academy is seeking applications for the position of Librarian/Media Specialist for the 2015-2016 school year.  The Librarian/Media Specialist will be an extension of the schools instructional and literacy program promoting information literacy across the curriculum and providing media and technology services to meet student and faculty needs.  Qualifications include a B.A. in Education or related field, with a preference for Library Media Specialist Certification.  A technology background is required.  Position is open until filled.  Salary is according to the Faculty Schedule: full range is $28,325 base with B.A. and no experience to $35,295 with PhD and many years of service. Hours are Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  
Full-time 5-8 Principal/Assistant High School Principal   New Covenant Academy is seeking applications for the position of 5-8 Principal/Assistant High School Principal for the 2015-2016 school year. This position will serve approximately 150 students in grades 5-8 as well as serve as an assistant principal grades 9-12 (115 students).  Appropriate Missouri certification is recommended.   Position is open until filled.  5-8 Principal/HS Assistant Principal Job Description. Salary is based on experience and credentials.  
Full-time Elementary Counselor   New Covenant Academy is seeking applications for the position of Elementary Counselor for the 2015-2016 school year.  This position will serve approximately 225 students.  Appropriate Missouri certification is required. The counselor is responsible for providing a comprehensive counseling program for students in grades K4 – 4th as well as any other assigned duties.  Position is open until filled. Part-time Extended Care Worker  

This is a part-time position M-F after school from 3:00 p.m.. to 6:00 p.m.. (Possibly before school hours 6:30 a.m.. to 8:00 a.m..) Pay is hourly, minimum wage.  Candidates must work well with young children, engage them in age appropriate activities, etc.  see Job Description for details.

REPORTS TO: The Elementary Principal or CAO

JOB GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide educational services in the absence of instructor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitute/fill in for current staff. Paid minimum of 1/2 day for less than 4 hours of work, paid a full day for more than 4 hours of work, at will employee.

EVALUATION: By the CAO according to school policies for non-teaching employees.     

 
SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKER  

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

           1.Meet the regular requirements for employment at NCA.

           2.Experience in a food service operation preferred.              

           3.Such other qualifications as may additionally be required by the Board.

REPORTS TO: Director of Food Services

JOB GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide each school child with food of highly nutritious quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal caring.

Performance responsibilities include working in the kitchen in the planning, preparation, and serving of food for the classrooms, as well as related kitchen work.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitute/fill in for current staff. Hourly, at will employee

 EVALUATION: By the Director of Food Services according to school policies for non-teaching employees.                 

 

BUS DRIVER

Part-time as needed for athletic events

Salary:  $9.00 per hour

Start: Anytime

 

Candidates must posses a CDL bus drivers license with the appropriate "S" endorsement and have a good driving record.  Candidates must deal courteously with passengers, have the ability to manage a group of students, implement safety procedures as well as provide a good health and wellness check-up, and submit to drug testing.  (Note:  This is NOT a route driver position involving the pick up of students at their homes. This position is for special events only.)
