Mrs. Pruett received her B.S. in Education from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, received a second specialty in Computer Programming from Draughon Business College, Inc.(now known as Ozark Technical Community College) and earned her Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Pruett was hired at New Covenant Academy to teach elementary students in 1992 and was promoted to Elementary Principal in 2006. Sharon is credentialed through the Association of Christian Schools International as an Elementary Principal and has a lifetime teaching credential through the State of Missouri. She has been serving NCA families and students for 18 years and is totally dedicated to quality Christian education. Mrs. Pruett is married and has had two students graduate from NCA. She is also mother to an adult special needs daughter, who she says has been a blessing and joy to their lives. She has shaped her perspective on the needs of families which helps her serve with compassion, mixed with a quirky sense of lightheartedness. She says, "You just can't take life too seriously, God has things under control."
Personal interests: She and her husband lead marriage enrichment classes, participate in mission trips, and she is an awesome story teller. For example, Mrs. Pruett tells the gospel through her alter-ego character 'Aunt Edith' in the most captivating and engaging way at our annual Christmas Party given for the Springfield Hotel Residents; it is funny, yet moving and inspiring.
